With the organizer Pop Up A la Carte, we propose a unique event at the Restaurant Blowfish inToronto...
The province of Ontario celebrates this year the 400e French Ontario... 1615 : Samuel de Champlain, after Acadia and Quebec, went through Ontario, and explored with the French coureur des bois Etienne Brulé, the path to go West... The food at this period was all about what First nations ate... Hurons Wendate, Iroquois, Ojibwés were on site and offered their culinary traditions to Europeans.... I created a menu based on all ingredients of this era... Come and enjoy :)

You must book your seat very quickly... Seats go fast... Join me, I bring you back in my life, long long time ago in the wonderful place named Biarritz... I used to say "the best years of my life" about it... Well, I was young... But this time is still part of the best years of my life... And we eat so well there... Soupe de poisson (Ttoro), Poulet Basquaise Chicken, Piperade, Gateau Basque, even Hot Chocolate with Espelette Pepper... No need to say more, right ? Last week, long week end and 4 full days of a new Craft Market. Focused on food and organized by a cheese boutique owner in The Home and Reno Show... Not the big crew but nice people and nice talks with fellow merchants... Some pics of the adventure...
My first Supper Club at The Depanneur, and my first dinner about the recipes of my book...
A step in the time... Book the date Saturday February 21st... I will prepare a barley soup (very Acadian), the fish andouillette (a quite odd thing when we don’t know what it is...), a vegetable fricassee ("fry - broken"), a "casserole" of rice and mushrooms (the word had a different meaning at this period... ), and for the sweet page, a chocolate pastry cream with the "épices du patissier" and a piece of "biscuit de Savoie"... Well, come and taste the past with 20 "history gourmets"!! Amazing little Christmas Market... 1 hour and half... One hundred students and parents show up very quickly... They want to buy something... Quick quick... They have to go I don’t know where... A lady came an ask for truffles as someone told her they were "to die for"... Creme Caramel all gone..... WOW... So happy to make happy people!!
This last Friday 21 november, at the Alliance Française de Toronto, we were 12 craft people, very French, and very happy to meet public… Some pics of the event… I was there with my CC (Creme Caramel), HotChoc Little Bags, Parisian Truffles, Clafoutis and more...
